about

Agent play melodic hardcore rooted firmly in the Long Island “sound,” and influenced heavily by the poppier punk of Lifetime as well as 90's indie rock bands like Braid. Agent write songs with intelligent, introspective lyrics and impressive hooks to match. This EP, "I Wouldn’t Trade That For Anything" was their first proper release. Getting a great reception on its release, it was named one of the best releases of 2006 by Pastepunk and Punknews. Agent went on to work with Run For Cover Records and tour and play with Title Fight, Tigers Jaw, etc.

Produced, recorded and mastered by Phil Douglas (Latterman, Iron Chic) the album is at once polished and sharp but at the same time rough-edged enough, organic, and warm.

"'I Wouldn't Trade That for Anything' is in all likelihood the best melodic hardcore album you'll hear this year.…a stunning debut.."
